WalletConnect

WalletConnect v2 lets users connect the boilerplate wallet to any compatible dApp by scanning a QR code.

1. Create a Reown project

  1. Go to cloud.reown.com and sign up or log in.
  2. Click Create Project.
  3. Copy the Project ID. At the top right of the project dashboard, click the copy icon to copy the value to your clipboard.

2. Add the value to .env

EXPO_PUBLIC_WALLET_CONNECT_PROJECT_ID=your_project_id

That is all that is needed. The boilerplate initializes WalletKit automatically once the wallet addresses are ready.

Testing WalletConnect: Open the Reown AppKit lab — a WalletConnect v2 test playground. Press connect and choose WalletConnect and then scan the QR code with the in-app scanner.
